Established in response to growing demand in Maryland’s technology-rich business corridor, the Maryland Intellectual Property Legal Resource Center (MIPLRC) is the only law school program of its kind in the United States that is situated in a technology incubator. It allows students to provide free legal assistance to emerging technology companies and explore legal, ethical and policy issues in high technology and intellectual property. By interacting continually with technology entrepreneurs and working in their midst, the students at the MIPLRC develop sensitivity to and expertise in dealing with the unique challenges their clients face and helping to convert these challenges into opportunities.
