The third in a series of 2012-2013 International Legal Practice Colloquia sponsored by the International and Comparative Law Program, this colloquium will explore the role of lawyers in international private lawyers, through a panel of practitioners in areas ranging from dispute resolution to international financial transactions.
The aspects of international law which make headlines are usually public international law: the protection of human rights, the laws of war, the development of democracy around the world. However, international law and international lawyers are also essential to our modern, globalized economy. Behind international business deals, multinational disputes and global trade are practitioners of international law.
This panel brings together a selection of practitioners to discuss their path into the practice of international law and their experiences in practice.
