JustAdvice

JustAdvice is an award winning program operated by the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. JustAdvice offers low cost services to middle and low income customers, and those who may not be able to afford an attorney, but make too much money to qualify for legal aid. JustAdvice provides a range of services to the Maryland and surrounding community- from providing customers with brief advice on legal issues, to referring them to additional social and legal services- all for a fee of $10.

The JustAdvice program is composed of a dedicated group of volunteer attorneys from the Baltimore community, staff and students from the Community Justice Clinic at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, and from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. The program also maintains a partnership with The Civil Justice Network, a group of solo, small firm, and community-based lawyers that work to increase access to justice to under-served populations of low to moderate income individuals in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.

JustAdvice sessions are held at convenient locations throughout the city on Tuesdays and Thursdays and have served over 700 people since its inception in April 2010.
