In academic year 2010-2011, the Law & Health Care Program hosted a Speaker Series on Health Care Reform to highlight four critical aspects of the recent health care reform legislation. In the Fall, the Speaker Series focused on issues that are primarily legal in nature--privacy and the Constitutional implications of the reform legislation. In the Spring, the Speaker Series focused on two policy-related issues--cost containment and eliminating disparities in health care. The goal of the Speaker Series was to learn about health care reform from the experts who are working on implementing the most significant overhaul of our health care system in decades.
