Congratulations to Erin Doran, who will be leaving the Environmental Law Clinic to join Riverkeeper, Inc. as a staff attorney.
"Erin joined the Environmental law Clinic as a Fellow in 2011 after graduating cum laude from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Doran has been an invaluable part of the law clinic for the last five years and she has been steadily promoted to her current position as Senior Staff Attorney," said Professor Jane Barrett, director of the Environmental Law Clinic.
"Erin has been an invaluable part of the law clinic beginning when she was a student-attorney during her third year of law school. Erin is relentless in her pursuit of excellence. She is extremely dedicated to helping our clients achieve their goals and is a fantastic role model for our students. As importantly, she’s a lot of fun to be around! She will be missed,” added Barrett
Riverkeeper, Inc. was founded by fisherman in the early 1970’s as the Hudson River Fishermen’s Association by fisherman who were angry and frustrated by the industrial pollution that was killing the river and their livelihood. Today, Riverkeeper, Inc. is still a watchdog for the Hudson River as well as for the New York City and Hudson River Valley drinking water supply. It was the first of what has become an ever-growing, international Waterkeeper movement that includes over 280 organizations around the country and the world.
Please join us in thanking her for her great work for the clinic’s clients and students, and in wishing her the best in her new position.
