The University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law Environmental Law Program is committed to developing tomorrow's environmental leaders by addressing today's environmental challenges. For more than two decades Maryland's nationally ranked Environmental Law Program has trained environmental lawyers in government, non-profit, corporate, and private practice.

The curriculum is taught by full time and adjunct faculty drawn from the thriving Baltimore-Washington D.C. environmental law community. The combination of scholarly and practical training is a hallmark of the Environmental Law Program and the Environmental Law LLM program.

The University of Maryland's environmental law clinic provides students with an active docket of environmental litigation and policy matters to develop their advocacy skills. Students also gain hands-on experience through the externship program.

The environmental law program also supports a vibrant student community, including environmental law moot court and negotiation teams that regularly excel in nationwide competitions and the Maryland Environmental Law Society, the student-run environmental advocacy group.
The Network for Public Health Law connects and serves individuals and organizations committed to applying the law to improve public health. Working with and for public health practitioners; local, tribal, state and federal officials; lawyers; policy-makers and public health advocates, the Network delivers innovative legal technical assistance, training materials, and programs on public health law and connects those resources with petitioners and government officials working in the public health law field. The Eastern Region will provide assistance on all public health matters focusing on environmental health, food safety and injury prevention.
