Trainers/Consultant Resource List for Maryland schools in Conflict Resolution Education

If you are an experienced trainer or consultant in Conflict Resolution Education (CRE) and wish to be included in a list for Maryland public schools seeking support, the attached forms may provide a useful opportunity. The Center for Dispute Resolution at the University of Maryland School of Law (C-DRUM) is currently compiling a roster of experienced trainers, consultants and consultant services that will be made available to school administrators, counselors and other school staff seeking training and implementation support of proposed grants in CRE.

For the eighth year, C-DRUM will be administering a schools grant program in conflict resolution education for Maryland public schools (pre-kindergarten through grade 12). The grant program is a collaborative partnership between C-DRUM, the Maryland Mediation and Conflict Resolution Organization (MACRO), and the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). The Grant Announcement and Grant Application for 2007-2008 will be distributed to all Maryland public schools by the end of March. These will also be available at www.cdrum.org together with descriptions of past grant programs. This online list will be referenced in the grant announcement for use by school educators seeking training and consulting services.

There is no deadline for submission to be included in this roster. However, it is recommended that those interested submit immediately for consideration by school personnel who will be submitting grant proposals in April for the 2007-2008 school year.

The listing is free and provides an opportunity for service providers to create a profile of their own training or consulting services in Conflict Resolution Education (CRE). Forms will be posted and made available on the C-DRUM website for interested educators. All applicants for the list will be screened by C-DRUM staff based on the criteria identified on the “Tips for Selecting Training/Consulting Support”.
