Successful Summer Strategies: Research in the Real World
Research in the Real World Starts Here: Where to go for help
There may be moments when you need information, advice, or just moral
support, regarding research assignments or other summer employment issues.
Among the available resources are:
Law librarians at your firm or organization, or librarians at your
law school;
Career services staff or professors at your law school;
Associates or paralegals at your workplace. Support staff may also
be a gold mine of useful information;
Customer service at Lexis or Westlaw, or your law school's or employer's
Lexis or Westlaw representatives;
Your peers. Keep in touch with classmates to compare notes on your
summer experiences. Also, there are many Internet discussion boards
and blogs for law students and young lawyers that you can find with
a simple search - or start one of your own.
