Full access to Lexis and Westlaw for law students will be suspended over the summer unless you extend your password. For both Lexis and Westlaw, full access may be maintained for the summer if you are enrolled in a law school course, working as a research assistant at the law school, conducting work for one of the law school journals, or participating in an unpaid, non-profit externship. To maintain access, sign on to Lexis and Westlaw, click on the summer access/extension links, and complete the forms.
It is important to remember that at all times access to Lexis and Westlaw provided by the School of Law is for academic research only. Any sort of “for-profit” use is strictly prohibited under the education contracts that the school has with both systems.
Unless you fill out the form to maintain full access, Lexis access for continuing law students will be limited to career materials from June 1 through August 1. Westlaw access for continuing law students will be limited to two hours per month from June 1 through August 1.
