Beginning today, August 27, the Thurgood Marshall Law Library will extend its hours until midnight Sundays through Thursdays. The new regular schedule will be:
Mondays-Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. - midnight
Fridays, 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Sundays, 10:00 a.m. - midnight
Labor Day hours on Monday, September 3 will be 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
The library's Information Desk and the Reading Room immediately inside the library entrance will close at 11:00 p.m. on the days the library is open until midnight. A security officer will remain in the library until closing but no library services will be provided between 11:00 and midnight.
Another change taking effect today is that after 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and after 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, access to the School of Law building will be granted only to: faculty, staff, and students of UMB or of one of the University System of Maryland campuses; attorneys; and School of Law alumni. Proper identification will be required so make sure you have your id with you if you are planning to come in after those hours. Guests accompanying students with proper ids will be admitted.
