Announcing a great new look and a more efficient way to find databases and electronic journals at the law library - Research Port! Research Port provides an easy-to-use, single-access point to all of the library's databases and every title in our electronic journal collection. From any location on- or off-campus, begin your research by clicking the Databases or Electronic Journals links on the library Web site to quickly find full-text articles, abstracts, and other materials. Read on to learn about the helpful features in Research Port.
More than 150 databases in Research Port provide access to tens of thousands of articles online. The databases are arranged into subjects tailored to conducting legal research - from "American Politics and Government" to "Trade Regulation." Databases are also arranged by name, so those such as the Index to Legal Periodicals and United States Law Week can be found by browsing an alphabetical title list. Once a database is selected, search or browse for articles in it.
All of the library's thousands of electronic journals are arranged alphabetically for easy browsing through a title list. Even if only part of a journal title is known, the journal can be located quickly by searching on words in the title.
If the full text of an article or journal is available electronically, the
button provides a direct link to it. The "find it" button appears
next to articles in a set of database search results, as well as next to the
list of electronic journal titles. Regardless of whether full text is available
online, "find it" links to the Catalog if the library owns the journal
in paper. "Find it" also links to the library's Interlibrary Loan
(ILL) Request form and even fills in the ILL form for you.
