Josh Goldberg is one of the three founders of Astrum Solar, Inc., one of the nation’s largest residential solar installers. Astrum was recently named the 2nd fastest growing private company in America on the 2012 Inc. 500 list. Josh currently serves as vice president of policy and business development. He also acts as Astrum’s general counsel and manages its Solar Renewable Energy Credit trading business.
Prior to co-founding Astrum Solar, Josh was an attorney at Ballard Spahr, LLP where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and venture capital transactions. He also co-founded a private equity fund dedicated to real estate investment and management, and served as a policy advisor to U.S. Congressman and other elected officials.
Josh earned a B.S. in Finance and a B.A. in History from the University of Maryland and received his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law where he served as an editor of the Maryland Law Review. He was recently appointed by the Governor of Maryland to the Advisory Board of the Maryland Strategic Energy Investment Fund.
