Trishana Bowden rejoined UM Carey Law in November 2011 and serves as Associate Dean, Development and Alumni Relations, overseeing all aspects of institutional advancement.
With more than 20 years of experience in the advancement field, including her previous service as Director of Development here at the law school, Dean Bowden brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge and institutional history to her new role at UM Carey Law. During her earlier tenure, she was deeply involved in successfully securing major gifts for the capital campaign that resulted in our impressive facility.
For the last nine years, Dean Bowden has served as Associate Dean for Institutional Advancement at American University Washington College of Law. In that role, she had leadership responsibility for all areas of advancement, including events, development, alumni relations, and communications, in support of the collegeís $15M fundraising campaign.
Dean Bowden developed her substantial institutional advancement expertise at some of Marylandís finest and well respected organizations, including the Johns Hopkins Oncology Center, the American Lung Association and the Johns Hopkins Department of Surgery. She is a former chair and member of the ABA Section on Legal Education and Admissions, Development Sub-Committee. She has also been a frequent participant on AALS Institutional Advancement panels.
Dean Bowden is married to John Scott Bowden and they have two sons, John Eric and Nigel.
