Biography
Leslie Turner Percival joins the faculty at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law as a Visiting Law School Assistant Professor. She will be teaching the Juvenile Law, Children’s Issues and Legislative Advocacy Clinic. Prior to joining the faculty, Turner Percival assisted with teaching and supervising students in the Health Care Delivery and Child Welfare Legal Issues Clinic at the University of Maryland Carey School of Law as a Senior Clinical Law Fellow.
Before coming to the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, she served as the Legal Counsel for the Virgin Islands Department of Education for over five years. She has also worked as a government relations and litigation attorney with Tom Bolt and Associates, and was law clerk to Justice Ive A. Swan who is currently serving as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the Virgin Islands. Turner Percival received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She obtained her J.D. from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, and an LL.M. degree (in Clinical Law) from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law.
