Ben Miller is a Staff Attorney in the Appellate Division of the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. There he represents criminal defendants with the appeals of their convictions before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Prior to joining PDS, Mr. Miller had a similar position with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender.
Mr. Miller graduated with honors from American University, Washington College of Law. After graduating law school, he was a law clerk for the Superior Court of Massachusetts and then for Chief Judge Peter Krauser of the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. He received his undergraduate degree with honors from Northeastern University, where he majored in Journalism. Prior to law school, he worked at several Boston-area newspapers, including writing for The Boston Globe.
In addition to teaching as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland School of Law, he has also taught classes as an adjunct at both the University of Baltimore School of Law and American University, Washington College of Law.
