Biography
Jason Hawkins joined the Thurgood Marshall Law Library in 2011 and holds the position of Research Librarian. He teaches Introduction to Legal Research and Advanced Legal Research. He received his J.D. from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law, and his M.L.S. from the Syracuse University School of Information Studies.
Prior to coming to the University of Maryland School of Law, he worked as a reference librarian for The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. where he provided reference services, taught Advanced Legal Research, and served as a subject specialist for intellectual property law, national security law, and business and financial law.
Jason is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association of Law Libraries, and the Law Librarian’s Society of Washington, D.C.
