Biography
Rita Turner is Deputy Director of the Center for Tobacco Regulation, where she provides technical legal assistance to State and local legislators, organizations and community coalitions working in tobacco control and individuals facing tobacco-related legal problems. She received a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2008 and a BA in Political Science from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2003. Rita completed internships at the World Health Organizations' Tobacco Free Initiative in Geneva and at Legal Aid in Cape Town, South Africa.
