Biography
Allison Sayers is an Assistant Public Defender in the Appellate Division of the Maryland Office of the Public Defender. Ms. Sayers primarily handles appeals from criminal convictions but also represents parents in Child in Need of Assistance and Termination of Parental Rights actions. Prior to joining the Office of the Public Defender, she worked in private practice where she represented clients who were involved in professional malpractice litigation, with a focus on legal malpractice defense.
Ms. Sayers currently teaches LAWR II. She received her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of California at Los Angeles, where she majored in English and specialized in creative writing. She also graduated with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law. Upon graduation, Ms. Sayers clerked for the Honorable Steven I. Platt, Circuit Court for Prince George’s County.
