Biography
Leslie M. Hill represents the United States in complex civil litigation arising under a broad range of environmental statutes in both federal circuit and district courts. Typical cases include defending rules issued by the EPA and other agencies under the pollution control laws, bringing enforcement actions against those who destroy wetlands in violation of the Clean Water Act, and defending the United States against challenges to its cleanup and compliance actions at Superfund sites, federally-owned facilities and private sites. She previously worked as a litigation associate at Arnold & Porter LLP. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Hill worked as an environmental engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Navy. She earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland and completed the environmental certificate program, received her M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Maryland-University College and a B.S. in General Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.
