Professor Abraham DashThe Baltimore Sun - The case of a death-row inmate who represented himself poses the question of how far the state should go to ensure a defendant's legal rights. Abraham Dash, JD, a professor emeritus at the UM Carey School of Law, says the court will give "a lot more leeway because it is a death case." Andrew Levy, JD, a member of the School's adjunct faculty, also says most courts and judges "will bend over backward" in death cases.
