Professor Larry Gibson The Baltimore Sun - Stephanie Rawlings-Blake earned a bachelor's degree in political science in 1992 and went on to the University of Maryland School of Law, where a professor and family friend said he always thought of her more as her mother's daughter. "There's a kind of calmness about Stephanie that is characteristic of her mother," said Professor Larry Gibson, LLM, who has known the Rawlings family since the 1970s.

Adjunct Professor Nathan Siegel The Daily Record - Nathan Siegel, JD, a media lawyer with Levine, Sullivan, Koch & Schulz LLP in Washington, D.C., said the decision is a blow to police agencies that overuse the PIA's personnel records exception. "The police departments have been trying to use the personnel records exception as a way of avoiding disclosure of almost anything that has to do with an officer," said Siegel, an adjunct professor at the School of Law.
