Professor Michael Greenberger The American Interest - A proposed amendment to the Senate financial reform bill would have banned banks from proprietary trading, a move opposed by bankers because it would have messed up their plans to repatriate foreign profits into the United States, untaxed, by trading in derivatives on their own accounts. Michael Greenberger, JD, a professor at the School of Law and a former director at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, is quoted.
