"True, this trial hasn't been Sheila Dixon's finest hour, but neither did it reveal rampant venality," said Andrew Levy, JD, adjunct professor at the University of Maryland School of Law, told the Times. "Mostly, it displayed a tone deafness to ethical issues - such as the cozy relationship between developers and local politicians - that most people have become pretty inured to." Levy also did live TV interviews on at least three stations in the minutes following the verdict.
