Professor Michael GreenbergerBureau of National Affairs Securities Regulation & Law Report - At a hearing last week, Rep. Collin Peterson (D-Minn), chair of the House Committee on Agriculture, said the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) should be the sole regulatory body that oversees the clearing of over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives. Michael Greenberger, JD, a professor at the School of Law and a former director at the CFTC, testified at the hearing that the limited exemption to mandatory clearing of OTC derivatives is a "reasonable compromise."

Gibson received the award on Friday.
