Professor Michael Greenberger WUSA TV, Ch. 9 (Washington, D.C.) & WTOP, 103.9 FM (Washington, D.C.) - The arrest of a Nigerian man suspected of trying to bring down a commercial airliner on Christmas Day has sparked the Transportation Security Administration to beef up screening procedures on any U.S.-bound flight traveling through countries tied to terror. Michael Greenberger, JD, a professor at the School of Law and the director of the University of Maryland Center for Health and Homeland Security, is quoted.

"I don't know of anything that would hinder their confirmation except for politics," Reynolds says, referring to the lengthy process. The names of U.S. Magistrate Judges Charles B. Day and James K. Bredar, and state Court of Special Appeals Judge Ellen L. Hollander have been submitted to President Obama.

Haddon Philly.com - Two vacancies on Philadelphia's five-member Board of Ethics have left the city's official watchdog "weaker than it's ever been," according to board Executive Director Shane Creamer. In September, Phoebe A. Haddon, JD, LLM, resigned her seat when she left Temple University to become dean of the School of Law.
