Professors Andrew Levy and Jana SingerThe Baltimore Sun – A Howard County man whose convictions for soliciting sex with a minor have been overturned is fighting for visitation rights with his children. "Because he was acquitted doesn't make that information off-limits. Whatever those [case] facts are remain those facts," said Andrew Levy, JD, an adjunct professor at the School of Law. However, Jana Singer, JD, professor at the School of Law, said that while Maryland has a strong child-protection policy, Richard Moore "probably does have a reasonable argument if he can convince the court that he doesn't pose a risk to the children."

Professor Michael MillemannThe Daily Record – The Maryland Court of Appeals has ruled that a study finding Maryland's death penalty is imposed unevenly by race and county cannot save a black man convicted of murdering a white woman 13 years ago in Baltimore County. "The decision does not resolve the underlying question of whether administration of the death penalty in Maryland is racially biased and therefore unconstitutional," said Michael A. Millemann, JD, professor at the School of Law, who is handling the appeals of Baltimore City's only death-row inmate, John Booth-El.
