In the other semifinal, South Texas College of Law beat Loyola Marymount. Each year, the Tournament brings the nation's top 16 law school trial teams together to compete for the national championship.
Schools are invited to compete based on their performance in two open student trial competitions, the National Trial Competition (NTC) and the American Association of Justice (AAJ) (formerly ATLA) National Student Trial Advocacy Competition.
The TOC activities began on Tuesday, Oct. 28 as School of Law Dean Karen Rothenberg hosted alumni, friends, tournament volunteers, and past and current Trial Team and Moot Court Board members for a night of fun and festivities at a tournament kickoff party. The three days of competition began on Thursday, Oct. 30 and continued through Nov. 1.
