The School of Law presents
Part II of its important two-part conference on medical malpractice reform.
In January 2005, a special session of the Maryland legislature passed HB2: Patients’ Access to Quality Health Care Act, to address medical malpractice issues in Maryland. In September, the School of Law convened Part I of a two-part conference brining together government officials and experts from the health care, legal, and dispute resolution fields to explain and explore the legislation and its implementation.
Part II of this Conference takes place Friday October 28, 2005.
This day will focus on current initiatives in other states and explore alternatives within Maryland. Even if you were not able to attend the conference in September, Part II will present a lively discussion of alternatives to medical malpractice reform. Featured speakers include:
Rosemary Gibson, MSc, author of The Wall of Silence Debra Roter, DrPH, MPH, Professor Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health,
and delivering the Stuart Rome Lecture,
William Sage, MD, JD, Columbia University
