Dean Krimmel
Dean Krimmel is a museum consultant and public historian
with some 25 years experience researching, documenting
and presenting Baltimore history through exhibitions,
lectures, bus and walking tours, special events, workshops,
conferences, and publications. A long time staff member
of the Peale Museum/Baltimore City Life Museums, he
is currently serving as project coordinator for the
Babe Ruth Museum’s Sports Legends at Camden

Railroad’s Camden Station in May 2005. Krimmel’s
interest in Baltimore’s markets dates back to
the mid-1980s when he was curator for a photography
exhibit at the Peale Museum. For 10 years, he led
an annual all-day market tour for the Smithsonian’s
Resident Associates Program. More recently, Krimmel’s
consulting work has made him a regular visitor to
Lexington Market, the city’s largest for more
than 150 years
