Our students are hired by the nation's leading legal employers. More than half of The American Lawyer's "AM100" top law firms recruit our students. The University of Maryland School of Law is one of 50 top law schools having the highest percentages of graduates hired by "NLJ 250" law firms. Despite the challenging economy and its impact on legal hiring, 94% of the Class of 2010 secured employment by nine months after graduation. Graduates chose a variety of professional employment, which can be grouped into six broad categories: private practice, business and industry, judicial clerkships, government, academia, and public interest organizations.
