Our students are hired by the nation’s leading legal employers, with 98 percent of our most recent graduating class securing employment within nine months of graduation. More than half of The American Lawyer’s Top 100 firms recruit our students. The University of Maryland School of Law is committed to assisting students in finding employment in private practice, business and industry, public service and other disciplines. Our graduates select a range of employment nationwide. In 2007, most graduates chose employment in the Middle Atlantic and South Atlantic regions, while one-third of the class chose jobs in locations throughout the New England, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast regions.
