Visit Maryland Program
We welcome and encourage you to visit the University
of Maryland School of Law at any time. In order to
take optimal advantage of your time at the law school,
we recommend that prospective students visit a class,
take a tour of the school and/or attend one our Open
House information sessions during the fall or spring
semesters. The Visit Maryland Program is not available during the summer months. Please check this site again in late September to sign up to visit a class and to take a guided tour.
- TOURS OF THE LAW SCHOOL
There are no guided tours during the summer months. You may come in to the Admissions Office to pick up a handout that will help direct you during a self-guided tour of our law school.
- REQUEST A CLASS VISIT AND/OR A TOUR
There are no classes available for visitation during the summer months. Please check this site again in late September to sign up to visit a class and to take a guided tour.
- OPEN HOUSES
There are no scheduled Open Houses at this time.
- PARKING
Parking is available directly
across the street from the law school building at
the Baltimore Grand Parking Garage. The garage is
located at 5 N. Paca Street at the corner of W.
Baltimore and Paca Streets. As the Office of Admissions
does not provide parking validation or vouchers,
please make note of the garage's daily rates below.

- OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS HOURS
The Office
of Admissions is open from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday
to Friday. The office is closed on weekends.
- LAW SCHOOL BUILDING HOURS
Effective
August 27, the University of Maryland School of Law
building, which includes the library, will implement
new hours of operation. The building will maintain regular
hours throughout the semester. Abbreviated hours are
in effect between sessions, and extended hours are in
effect during exam periods. The building is closed on
several holidays throughout the year.
Regular Hours Effective Monday, August 27
Mondays-Thursdays 8:00 a.m. - midnight
Fridays 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Sundays 10:00 a.m. - midnight
After 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and after 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and
Sundays, access to the School of Law building is granted
only to: faculty, staff, and students of UMB or of
one of the University System of Maryland campuses;
attorneys; and School of Law alumni. Proper identification
is required.
