School of Law Launches Historic $50M Campaign

Kicking off the most ambitious fundraising drive in its history, University of Maryland School of Law leaders gathered earlier this month to launch the Making an Impact Campaign. At a formal kickoff celebration (see photos) hosted by University System of Maryland Chancellor William Kirwan, Dean Karen Rothenberg announced that more than $25 million in commitments had already been secured toward a $50 million goal. These initial gifts total more than the entire $10 million goal of the School of Law's previous record-setting campaign.

Class of 2008 and John Isbister '77 to Make a Lasting Impact

Committed to leaving a lasting legacy at the School of Law, and inspired by a challenge from Board of Visitors member John Isbister ´77, the Class of 2008 has revived the tradition of making a class gift. Class members already have pledged over $25,000 to the gift, and the total continues to climb.

Law Firm Establishes Scholarship Fund in Honor of Edgar Silver

Rifkin, Livingston, Levitan & Silver, LLC, has donated $50,000 to the University of Maryland School of Law's Making an Impact campaign to establish a law and public service scholarship fund in the name of one of its founding members, former Baltimore Circuit Court Judge Edgar P. Silver.
