Annual Giving
The Class of 2009 Gift: Leaving our Legacy
Raised So Far: $12,629
96 Donors
The Class of 2009 has an opportunity to make an unprecedented impact on generations of Maryland Law students to come. By making a class gift, we will leave our legacy for future classes of Maryland graduates. Last year, the Class of 2008 raised $32,789. We have set our ambitious goal at $35,000 to not only beat the 2008 number, but to show them our Class is superior.
Projects our gift could support include:
- Funding an annual community service project;
- Providing state-of-the-art AV equipment for students;
- Supporting a student-led mentoring program;
- Funding summer MPILP grants for five years.
Keep in mind that these are only examples; all contributors will vote on how our gift will be utilized. Join us and make Maryland Law history!
Doubling Your Impact
Arnold Weiner ´57, a member of the law school's Board of Visitors, has issued us a challenge. He will match every gift made by a member of our class. Through this challenge, the amount you give will automatically double, at no additional cost to you. Likewise, every dollar you pledge now—even if you spread your payments over five years*—will count fully towards our class gift.
Law and Social Work Competition
Law and Social Work have teamed up this year to engage in a friendly competition between our schools. The focus of the competition is on class participation -- the school that has the largest percentage of class members making gifts or pledges to the Class of 2009 Gift.
