Restorative Justice (3)

This course outlines the basic principles and values of restorative justice with comparisons to those of binary/retributive/punitive justice, illustrated through the leading modes of restorative practice (such as, Community Conferencing as court diversion and community conflict resolution; Restorative Practices in the context of addressing school discipline; dialogue between parties involved in and affected by serious crimes after a criminal prosecution process; and truth and reconciliation commissions in both transitional and non-transitional contexts).
