Legal Malpractice and Lawyer Discipline (2)

This course examines the law applicable to claims (including ethics grievances) against lawyers, defenses, ethics, lawyer-client relationships, and a lawyer’s fiduciary duty toward clients. It also examines the grievance procedure used to regulate lawyer compliance with the Rules of Professional Conduct. Case studies will be used in conjunction with appropriate legal materials and rules. Simulations will also be conducted.
