Election Law Seminar (3)

This seminar will explore the law governing the rights of citizens to participate in the political process as candidates, as supporters of candidates and ballot propositions, and as voters. Special attention will be devoted to law regulating the right to vote, voter registration, legislative districting, candidate eligibility, and ballot questions. Significant attention will also be given to laws regulating campaign finance, including contributions, public funding, and campaign expenditures. Writing done for this seminar may be used to satisfy the Advanced Writing Requirement.
