This seminar will closely examine several different healthcare business transactions, including acquisitions, joint ventures and other arrangements with healthcare providers from a corporate, tax and regulatory standpoint with an emphasis on transaction structure, regulatory compliance, and understanding the provisions of transaction documents. The seminar will also cover legal issues that directly relate to the operations and finances of healthcare providers outside of the transactional context. This seminar is designed as a very hands on, practical seminar based on actual, sophisticated transactions and business concerns involving healthcare providers. Knowledge gained in the course will help students structure and understand healthcare transactions from both the healthcare lawyer’s and the healthcare business executive’s viewpoint.
