This course is available to students currently enrolled in a clinic or LTP. We will be studying Professional Responsibility in the context of practice. Students will learn the rules, but will also engage in several different types of learning about Professional Responsibility including: taking live client ethical dilemmas into larger Professional Responsibility classrooms; panel discussions with seasoned professionals about larger topics affecting the profession; some reflection about the importance of personal ethical foundations; and significant discussion with lawyers about the choice to be leaders and communicators in a democracy.
This course satisfies the Legal Profession requirement.
Students may not take Professional Responsibility and Practice: The Rules and Reality and either Legal Profession or Legal Profession Seminar.
