The Master of Science in Law (MSL) is a degree for professionals who want to know more about the intersection of law and regulation with the technical, scientific or administrative demands of their chosen fields.
The MSL’s curriculum was developed exclusively for this degree; it is new and robust. In addition to classes and seminars, students will pursue practical projects directly related to challenges they are likely to encounter in their professions under the guidance of distinguished practitioners.
The MSL has been approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission and the University System of Maryland.
Specialized education.
The MSL is a part-time, 30-credit, two-year, evening program intended to be completed in four semesters at the University of Maryland, College Park. Students must choose one of three specializations.

Tuition for Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 is $837.80 per credit hour, plus a technology fee of $10 per credit hour, a Student Services fee of $25 per credit hour, and a flat Student Government Association fee of $22 per semester. Students enroll in 7 or 8 credits each semester, and the program requires 30 credits and requires four semesters to complete (Fall, Spring, Fall, Spring).
Applicants to the Master of Science in Law (MSL) program should apply by August 3 for classes beginning in Fall 2018.
