The University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law’s Master of Science in Law (MSL) provides students with the specialized and practical knowledge required to succeed in an increasingly complex and regulated business and policy environment. Hosted at the University of Maryland, College Park campus and easily accessible by the DC Metro, the MSL is a highly-focused degree for professionals to advance their careers.
This 30-credit, part-time, evening program is structured to permit professionals to integrate the course of study into their existing lives. Over the course of two years, students will develop a working knowledge of legal principles and analysis.
Building on the School of Law’s nationally-ranked specialty areas, the MSL degree offers three concentrations in some of today’s most highly regulated industries:
Students develop an in-depth understanding of the law’s relationship to their fields of concentration while learning how to identify, frame, and analyze problems. The courses will be taught by Maryland Carey Law faculty members and substantive experts from government agencies, the judiciary, and the practicing bar.
