The MSL is based on the assumption that engineers, nurses, scientists and other subject matter specialists can use legal and regulatory knowledge to help their organizations gain a competitive advantage. The MSL will give them the legal training they need, increasing their skill and depth.
A new way to enhance your career.
The Master of Science in Law (MSL) is a degree for professionals who want to know more about the intersection of law and regulation with the technical, scientific or administrative demands of their chosen fields.
The MSL’s curriculum was developed exclusively for this degree; it is new and robust. In addition to classes and seminars, students will pursue practical projects directly related to challenges they are likely to encounter in their professions under the guidance of distinguished practitioners.
The MSL has been approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission and the University System of Maryland.
The MSL is a part-time, 30-credit, two-year, evening program intended to be completed in four semesters at the University of Maryland, College Park. Students must choose one of three specializations.
