Oct. 14th, 2007 - Helen E. Freedman, currently a state Supreme Court justice for New York County, Commercial Division, has been nominated by the New York's Commission on Judicial Nomination for an opening in New York's highest court. To read more about the candidates, click here.
Sep. 7th, 2007 - South Carolina has created a Business Court Pilot Program. To learn more scroll down to the newly added South Carolina section or click here to view the enabling administrative order.
Aug. 30th, 2007 - The North Carolina legislature has enacted a new law which eliminates the Tax Review Board and expands the jurisdiction of the state business court to include tax cases. The new bill, chaptered as Session Law 07-401, was signed into law by Gov. Mike Easley on August 30, 2007. To read the new law, click here.
Jul. 11th, 2007 - Delbert Hosemann, Mississippi Secretary of State elect, has announced an interest in creating a state business court. To learn more about Mr. Hosemann's interest in a “business court system" click here.
