Watch Avian Flu: What Can We Do?, an interdisciplinary conference held at the Law School on January 13th
On January 13th, more than 300 people attended
Avian Flu: What Can We Do? a conference organized by the
University of Maryland Center for Health and Homeland Security. The conference focused on what may be the most serious public health threat in decades -- the onset of a pandemic influenza. Led by Law School Professor and Center Director,
Michael Greenberger, the program brought together expert researchers, academics, public ehalth officials, mediacl care providers, hospital officials, attorneys, and pharmaceutical manufacturers to give their assessment of critical issues pertaining to a threatened pandemic and to recommend realistic and practical countermeasures and strategies that could effectively be deployed to fight a pandemic.
