Professor Percival Evaluates Environmental Law in the Trump Administration

The election of Donald Trump as president shocked environmentalists.  Trump has questioned climate change, advocated for the abolition of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and promised to repeal significant clean air and clean water regulations.  In an essay (“Environmental Law in the Trump Administration”) published in the Emory Corporate Governance and Accountability Review, Professor Robert Percival draws on lessons from the Reagan and Bush administrations to caution that if Trump pursues an extreme environmental agenda it could spawn a significant backlash.

In a separate essay for The Conversation (“Can Legal Activist Scott Pruitt Undo Clean Air and Water Protections as Head of EPA”), Percival evaluates Trump’s nomination of Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt to be his EPA Administrator.
