Prof. Donald Gifford interviewed on NPR's "All Things Considered" about lead paint makers' liability
Donald G. Gifford, Professor of Law at the University of Maryland School of Law specializing in tort law and legal negotiations, appeared on National Pubic Radio's Feb. 22 broadcast of "All Things Considered." Prof. Gifford discussed a Rhode Island jury's decision that three companies formerly in the lead-paint business created a public nuisance and can be held responsible for cleanup costs. It's one of several lawsuits against the lead-paint industry, but the first to succeed.
