By Check

For your gift by check to be credited to the 2012 tax year, it must be mailed in an envelope postmarked by December 31, 2012. Make your check payable to the University of Maryland Baltimore Foundation, Inc., indicate "UM Carey Law" in the memo line, and send to:

By Credit Card

The best way to make a gift by credit card is through our secure online site by December 31. Credit card transactions, unlike checks, must be processed by December 31 to be credited to the 2012 tax year. We do not recommend that you mail a credit card gift while the UM Carey Law is closed. If you prefer not to make your credit card gift online, you may make it by phone or in person (information below).

We are always here to help. The University of Maryland's Office of Gift Administration will be open to accept checks and take credit card gifts by phone from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 26 through Friday, December 28 as well as Monday, December 31.

Please note that the building is locked during that time, so you must call ahead to gain access to the building.
