The School of Law has many supporters in the General Assembly. As the proposed budget amendments have worked their way through the legislative process, numerous legislators have risen to speak publicly and worked diligently to defeat them or limit their effect.
On March 23, 2010, when the State Senate debated the budget amendments, Senators eloquently defended critical legal and educational principles and the important work of the clinic serving the public interest.
