Accessing Files and Office 2007 Using Remote Desktop
Windows XP Users:
Save the Law School Remote Desktop Icon on the desktop of your home computer or laptop.- Select the download link below and click the Save button.
- Use the Save in: menu to locate your Desktop and then click Save.
- Choose either:
Download Remote Desktop Icon with Office 07 or
Download Remote Desktop Icon with Office 07 and no Local Drive Access
Install remote printing support via Screwdrivers 3.0.
- Windows ME, 98, 95 Users: Remote printing is not available.
- MAC Users: Remote printing is not available.
- Windows XP & 2000 Users: Download and install the Screwdrivers program.
Note: You cannot install Screwdrivers while Remote Desktop is running.
Download Screwdrivers 3.0 - Click Start -> Printers and Faxes.
- Right-click over the printer you would like to set as the default printer.
- Click on Set As Default Printer.
- Click Start -> Settings -> Printers.
- Right-click over the printer you would like to set as the default printer.
- Click on Set As Default Printer.
NOTE: Screwdrivers will only connect your home computer's default printer to the Remote Desktop session. Users with multiple home printers should set the default printer BEFORE using Remote Desktop.

Windows 2000, ME, 98, 95 Users and Macintosh Users
- Windows 2000, ME, 98, 95 Users: Download and install the Remote Desktop
program for Windows.
