The Admissions Committee at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law makes admissions decisions on a rolling basis. The Committee evaluates the academic potential of applicants through a thorough assessment of their academic record, professional and educational experiences, talents and skills. In addition, the Committee identifies candidates who will enhance the professional development of their peers and will contribute positively to the law school committee as a whole.
Interested students are encouraged to visit the School of Law during the fall semester. During the visit, interested students will attend one first-year class, receive a tour of the law school, and discuss their interest in legal education with a student or a member of the admissions staff.
