Law and Leadership

This class will allow students to explore leadership and leadership studies in the context of lawyers as leaders. Through case studies, readings and exercises, students will examine existing theories of leadership, leadership theory and practice, and their own leadership styles. Students will address questions including: What is leadership? How do you lead effectively? How do you lead from various positions? Students will also engage in leadership training activities that will allow them to improve their leadership skills. In addition, the course includes discussion of topics including ethics, diversity, working with teams, interpersonal dynamics, and organizational behavior. Class grades will be based on written exercises, participation, and other written work.
